I had been inquiring of the Lord about what to teach on a Wednesday night. When I saw a book that had fallen from the shelf, my eyes were drawn to the word Ephesians. I was led to look up the church of Ephesus. "Nevertheless, I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works, or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent." (Revelation 2:4-5) During the corona virus pandemic, many lights were out in the churches. I believe this is a warning. God is rebirthing the church. He wants the church to do its first works. "They went everywhere preaching the word." (Acts 8:4)
I saw the finger of God push the pause button on the recorder of life. Satan's goal of massive annihilation will be put on pause and God's massive revival will ensue! It is happening now! It has been impressed upon me the following quote expresses the heart of God for the church today. It was at the time of the Great Awakening after George Whitfield preached in Philadelphia, Ben Franklin wrote, "It seemed as if all the world were growing religious so that one could not walk through the town in an evening without hearing psalms sung in different families of every street..." Go everywhere and spread the gospel!
